Ingredients

  • 1 cup unsalted butter
  • 3/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 3/4 cup packed brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 2 cups butterscotch chips
  • 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Cream together the butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until smooth.
  2. Beat in the vanilla and eggs until fluffy.
  3. In a separate bowl, mix together the flour, baking soda, and salt.
  4. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the creamed mixture.
  5. Stir in the butterscotch chips and chocolate chips.
  6. Drop by rounded tablespoon onto ungreased baking sheets.
  7. Bake at 350°F (175°C) for 10 to 12 minutes.
  8. Let cool on the pan for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.

Notes

  • For soft cookies, do not overbake.
  • Chill the dough for 30 minutes for thicker cookies.
