Cake Mix Cherry Cheesecake

This cake mix cherry cheesecake is a simple yet delightful dessert that combines the richness of cheesecake with the flavors of cherry.

Ingredients

  • 1 box cake mix
  • 2 packages cream cheese
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 can cherry pie filling
  • 3 large eggs

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Prepare a 9×13 inch baking dish by greasing it.
  3. In a large bowl, mix together cake mix, eggs, and melted butter until well combined.
  4. Spread half of the cake batter into the bottom of the prepared dish.
  5. In another bowl, beat cream cheese, powdered sugar, and vanilla until smooth.
  6. Spread the cream cheese mixture over the cake batter in the dish.
  7. Dollop the cherry pie filling on top of the cream cheese layer.
  8. Pour the remaining cake batter over the top to cover.
  9. Bake for 35-40 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  10. Allow to cool before serving.

Notes

  • For a richer flavor, use full-fat cream cheese.
  • Feel free to substitute the cherry pie filling with another fruit of your choice.
