  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup fresh or frozen cherries, pitted and halved

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a muffin tin or line with paper liners.
  2. In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
  3. In another bowl, mix the melted butter, eggs, and vanilla extract.
  4. Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and stir until just combined. Gently fold in the cherries.
  5. Divide the batter evenly among the muffin cups.
  6. Bake for 20-25 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
  7. Let muffins cool in the tin for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.

  • For a sweeter muffin, you can add an additional 1-2 tablespoons of sugar.
