- 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1 cup whole wheat flour
- 1/2 cup honey or maple syrup
- 2 large eggs
- 1/4 cup vegetable oil
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 1/2 tsp baking soda
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1 tsp ground cinnamon
- 1/2 cup chocolate chips (optional)
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a loaf pan.
- In a large bowl, mix together the pumpkin puree, honey or maple syrup, eggs, vegetable oil, and vanilla extract until smooth.
- In another bowl, combine the whole wheat flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, baking soda, salt, and ground cinnamon.
- Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined. Fold in the chocolate chips if using.
