Classic Crockpot Pierogi Casserole with Kielbasa

A comforting and delicious recipe for a classic crockpot dish that combines pierogi and kielbasa.

Ingredients

  • 1 pound pierogi
  • 1 pound kielbasa, sliced
  • 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1 cup chicken broth
  • 1 medium onion, chopped
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder

Instructions

  1. In a skillet, melt butter and sauté the onions until translucent.
  2. In the crockpot, layer half of the pierogi, half of the kielbasa, half of the onions, and half of the cheese.
  3. Add a layer of sour cream and sprinkle with garlic powder and onion powder.
  4. Repeat the layers, ending with cheese on top.
  5. Pour the chicken broth over the casserole.
  6. Cover and cook on low for 6-8 hours or until the pierogi are tender.

Notes

  • For added flavor, consider adding spices such as paprika or pepper.
  • Can be garnished with fresh chives or parsley before serving.
