9 lasagna noodles lasagna noodles
1 pound ground beef
2 cups ricotta cheese
3 cups marinara sauce
2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
1 egg
1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
Instructions
Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
In a skillet, cook the ground beef over medium heat until browned. Drain excess fat.
Stir in marinara sauce and simmer for 5 minutes.
In a bowl, combine ricotta cheese, egg, Italian seasoning, and a pinch of salt.
Spread a layer of meat sauce at the bottom of a baking dish.
Layer 3 lasagna noodles, then half of the ricotta mixture, one-third of the mozzarella, and one-third of the meat sauce. Repeat layers, finishing with meat sauce and mozzarella on top.
Sprinkle Parmesan cheese over the top.
Cover with foil and bake for 25 minutes. Remove foil and bake for an additional 15 minutes until bubbly.
Let it cool for 10 minutes before serving.
Notes
For a vegetarian option, replace ground beef with sautéed vegetables.
