  • ½ tsp salt
  • ¼ cup butter, melted

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a muffin tin with paper liners.
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine the dry ingredients: flour, brown sugar, baking soda, spices, and salt.
  3. In another bowl, whisk together the wet ingredients: molasses, buttermilk, eggs, and melted butter.
  4. Gradually add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients until just combined.
  5. Spoon the batter into the prepared muffin tin, filling each liner about ¾ full.
  6. Bake for 18-20 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  7. Allow to cool for a few minutes before removing from the tin.
