  • 1/2 teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 8 ounces cream cheese, softened
  • 1/4 cup powdered sugar

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a muffin tin with liners.
  2. In a large bowl, mix the pumpkin puree, sugar, oil, and eggs until well combined.
  3. In a separate bowl, combine the flour, baking soda, baking powder, cinnamon, nutmeg, and salt.
  4. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients and mix until just combined.
  5. In another bowl, beat the cream cheese and powdered sugar together until smooth.
  6. Fill each muffin liner halfway with the pumpkin batter, add a spoonful of cream cheese mixture, then top with more pumpkin batter.
  7. Bake for 20-25 minutes or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
  8. Allow the muffins to cool before serving.
