Creamy Chicken Noodle Casserole

A comforting and creamy chicken noodle casserole featuring the savory addition of turkey bacon for an extra layer of flavor.

  • 2 cups cooked chicken, shredded
  • 1 cup turkey bacon, chopped
  • 12 ounces egg noodles
  • 2 cups cream of chicken soup
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 cup green peas (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Cook the egg noodles according to package instructions; drain.
  3. In a large bowl, combine the shredded chicken, chopped turkey bacon, cream of chicken soup, sour cream, half of the cheddar cheese, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper.
  4. Mix in the cooked noodles and green peas if using.
  5. Transfer the mixture to a greased 9×13 inch baking dish and top with the remaining cheddar cheese.
  6. Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, until the cheese is bubbly and golden.

Notes

  • For a crunchier topping, broil for the last 2-3 minutes of baking.
  • This casserole can be made ahead of time and stored in the refrigerator before baking.
