2 large eggs
1 cup heavy cream
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
2 tablespoons granulated sugar
¼ teaspoon salt
1 tablespoon butter
1 tablespoon brown sugar
Instructions
Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
In a large bowl, whisk together eggs, heavy cream, vanilla extract, granulated sugar, and salt.
Soak brioche slices in the egg mixture for about 5 minutes on each side to absorb the flavors.
In a skillet, melt butter over medium heat. Add soaked brioche slices and cook until golden brown, about 3-4 minutes per side.
Transfer the French toast to a baking dish and sprinkle with brown sugar.
Bake in the preheated oven for 10 minutes until heated through.
Serve warm, topped with fresh berries or whipped cream if desired.
Notes
For a richer flavor, let the brioche soak longer in the custard mixture.
Drizzling some maple syrup enhances the indulgence.
