Eggnog Bread Pudding

A rich and creamy dessert perfect for the holiday season, eggnog bread pudding combines the flavors of traditional eggnog with the comforting textures of bread pudding.

Ingredients

  • 4 cups cubed stale bread
  • 2 cups eggnog
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 cup raisins (optional)
  • 2 tablespoons butter, melted

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large bowl, combine eggnog, eggs, sugar, vanilla, nutmeg, cinnamon, and salt.
  3. Add the cubed bread and raisins, if using. Stir to combine and let it sit for about 10 minutes.
  4. Pour the mixture into a greased baking dish and drizzle the melted butter on top.
  5. Bake for 45-50 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and a toothpick comes out clean.
  6. Let cool slightly before serving. Enjoy warm or at room temperature.
