French Onion Ground Beef and Rice Casserole

A hearty and flavorful casserole that combines ground beef, rice, and the rich taste of French onion, topped with crispy turkey bacon.

  • 1 cup uncooked rice
  • 2 cups beef broth
  • 1 can French onion soup
  • 4 slices turkey bacon
  • 1 cup shredded cheese
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large skillet, brown the ground beef over medium heat.
  3. Add rice, beef broth, French onion soup, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper to the skillet. Stir well to combine.
  4. Transfer the mixture to a greased casserole dish.
  5. Top with cooked turkey bacon and shredded cheese.
  6. Bake for 30-35 minutes or until the rice is tender and the cheese is bubbly.

Notes

  • For a vegetarian version, substitute ground beef with lentils.
