Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13 inch baking pan.
  2. In a large bowl, melt the butter and stir in the brown sugar until combined.
  3. Add eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition, then stir in the vanilla.
  4. In another bowl, mix the flour, baking soda, ginger, cinnamon, nutmeg, and salt.
  5. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined.
  6. Fold in the chocolate chips.
  7. Spread the batter evenly in the prepared baking pan and bake for 25-30 minutes.
  8. Allow the brownies to cool before frosting.
  9. To make the frosting, whisk together the powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla until smooth.
  10. Spread the frosting over the cooled brownies and cut into squares.
