  • 1/2 cup buttermilk
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted

  • 4 slices of American cheese
  • 4 tablespoons maple syrup

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, mix together flour, baking powder, salt, and sugar.
  2. In another bowl, whisk together buttermilk, melted butter, and egg.
  3. Combine the wet and dry ingredients until just mixed.
  4. Heat a griddle over medium heat and pour 1/4 cup of the batter for each muffin.
