  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 8 ounces cream cheese
  • 1/4 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×9 inch baking pan.
  2. In a bowl, mix flour, cocoa powder, and salt.
  3. In another bowl, melt the butter and mix in the sugar.
  4. Add the eggs and vanilla to the butter mixture.
  5. Combine the wet and dry ingredients and mix well.
  6. In a separate bowl, beat the cream cheese, powdered sugar, egg, and vanilla until smooth.
  7. Pour half of the brownie batter into the prepared pan.
  8. Spoon the cream cheese mixture over the brownie layer.
  9. Top with the remaining brownie batter and swirl with a knife.
  10. Bake for 30-35 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  11. Let cool before cutting into squares.
