  • 1/4 cup unsweetened applesauce
  • 1/2 cup honey
  • 1 egg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1 1/2 cups whole wheat flour

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a mixing bowl, mash the ripe bananas until smooth.
  3. Add applesauce, honey, egg, and vanilla extract to the bananas and mix well.
  4. In another bowl, combine flour, baking soda, salt, and cinnamon.
  5. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined.
  6. Pour the batter into a greased loaf pan.
  7. Bake for 45-50 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  8. Allow to cool before slicing.

  • For an extra touch, add chopped nuts or chocolate chips to the batter before baking.
