Low Carb Philly Cheesesteak Casserole

A deliciously low carb twist on the classic Philly cheesesteak, featuring turkey bacon and lots of cheese.

Ingredients

  • 1 pound lean ground beef
  • 8 ounces turkey bacon
  • 1 large onion, sliced
  • 2 bell peppers, sliced
  • 2 cups mushrooms, sliced
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 2 cups shredded provolone cheese
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large skillet, cook turkey bacon until crispy. Remove and set aside.
  3. In the same skillet, sauté the onions, bell peppers, and mushrooms until softened.
  4. Add the ground beef, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Cook until the beef is browned.
  5. Stir in heavy cream and half of the provolone cheese, then mix well.
  6. Transfer the mixture to a baking dish. Top with the remaining cheese and crumbled turkey bacon.
  7. Bake for 25-30 minutes until the cheese is bubbly and golden.

Notes

  • For extra flavor, add spices such as paprika or Italian seasoning.
