  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • 1/2 cup walnuts, chopped
  • 1/4 cup confectioners’ sugar (for dusting)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9-inch round cake pan.
  2. In a large bowl, mash the bananas until smooth.
  3. Mix in sugar, brown sugar, and softened butter until well combined.
  4. Add the eggs and vanilla extract and beat until smooth.
  5. In another bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, and salt.
  6. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the banana mixture, alternating with sour cream.
  7. Fold in walnuts.
  8. Pour half of the batter into the prepared cake pan.
  9. Use the remaining batter to create a marble effect by swirling it with a knife.
  10. Bake in preheated oven for 40-45 minutes, or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  11. Let cool, then dust with confectioners’ sugar before serving.
