  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground nutmeg

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large bowl, cream together the butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until smooth.
  3. Beat in the egg and pumpkin puree until well blended.
  4. In another bowl, combine the flour, baking soda, baking powder, cinnamon, nutmeg, and salt.
  5. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the pumpkin mixture, mixing until just combined.
  6. Drop rounded tablespoons of dough onto ungreased baking sheets.
  7. Bake for 12-15 minutes or until the edges are lightly golden.
  8. Allow cookies to cool on wire racks.
  9. Prepare the cinnamon frosting by beating together softened butter, powdered sugar, cinnamon, and milk until smooth. Frost cooled cookies.
