Spicy Blackened Shrimp Cavatappi

A delightful and spicy dish featuring blackened shrimp paired with cavatappi pasta.

Ingredients

  • 1 pound cavatappi pasta
  • 1 pound shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 2 tablespoons blackening seasoning
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 cup cherry tomatoes, halved
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped

Instructions

  1. Cook cavatappi pasta according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
  2. In a bowl, toss shrimp with blackening seasoning.
  3. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat.
  4. Add seasoned shrimp to the skillet and cook until pink and cooked through, about 2-3 minutes per side.
  5. Add cherry tomatoes and cook for an additional minute.
  6. Reduce heat and stir in heavy cream and Parmesan cheese until combined.
  7. Add cooked pasta to the skillet and toss until well coated. Serve topped with fresh parsley.

Notes

  • Adjust blackening seasoning to taste for more or less spice.
  • For a lighter option, substitute heavy cream with half and half.
