Zuppa Toscana Soup

A deliciously hearty soup featuring turkey bacon and chicken ham.

Ingredients

  • 6 slices turkey bacon
  • 1 pound chicken ham
  • 4 cups chicken broth
  • 2 cups kale, chopped
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 2 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 onion, diced
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. In a large pot, cook the turkey bacon until crispy. Remove and crumble.
  2. Add diced onion and garlic to the pot and sauté until translucent.
  3. Stir in the chicken ham and cook for a few minutes.
  4. Add chicken broth and bring to a simmer.
  5. Mix in chopped kale and heavy cream.
  6. Season with Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper.
  7. Let simmer for additional 10 minutes, and serve with crumbled bacon on top.

Notes

  • For a spicier version, add red pepper flakes.
  • Can substitute heavy cream with a lighter alternative if preferred.
