  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/2 tsp baking powder
  • 1/4 cup chocolate chips
  • 1/4 cup heavy cream

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large bowl, cream together the butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
  3. Add the eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition.
  4. Stir in the vanilla extract.
  5. In another bowl, whisk together the flour and baking powder.
  6. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture until just combined.
  7. Fold in the chocolate chips.
  8. Drop spoonfuls of the dough onto a baking sheet.
  9. Bake for 12-15 minutes until golden brown.
  10. In a small saucepan, heat the heavy cream until just simmering.
  11. Remove from heat and add additional chocolate chips to make the glaze.
  12. Allow cookies to cool and drizzle with chocolate glaze.

Notes

  • For best results, chill the dough for 30 minutes before baking.
  • Customize by adding nuts or dried fruits.
