- 8 ounces fettuccine pasta
- 1 pound shrimp, peeled and deveined
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes
- 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped
- Cook the fettuccine according to package directions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
- In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add the shrimp and cook until pink, about 2-3 minutes per side. Remove shrimp from skillet and set aside.
- In the same skillet, add garlic and sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant.
- Add heavy cream, bringing it to a simmer. Stir in Parmesan cheese until melted and smooth.
- Return shrimp to the skillet, adding salt, pepper, and red pepper flakes. Stir to combine.
- Add the cooked fettuccine and toss to coat in the sauce.
- Garnish with fresh parsley before serving.
Notes
- For extra flavor, add some lemon juice to the sauce.
- You can substitute shrimp with chicken if desired.
