Creamy Marry Me Shrimp Pasta

  • 8 ounces fettuccine pasta
  • 1 pound shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes
  • 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped

Instructions

  1. Cook the fettuccine according to package directions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
  2. In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add the shrimp and cook until pink, about 2-3 minutes per side. Remove shrimp from skillet and set aside.
  3. In the same skillet, add garlic and sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant.
  4. Add heavy cream, bringing it to a simmer. Stir in Parmesan cheese until melted and smooth.
  5. Return shrimp to the skillet, adding salt, pepper, and red pepper flakes. Stir to combine.
  6. Add the cooked fettuccine and toss to coat in the sauce.
  7. Garnish with fresh parsley before serving.

Notes

  • For extra flavor, add some lemon juice to the sauce.
  • You can substitute shrimp with chicken if desired.
