Strawberry Matcha Latte Rolls

A delightful treat combining the flavors of strawberry and matcha in a soft roll.

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 tablespoon matcha powder
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 package active dry yeast
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup fresh strawberries, sliced

Instructions

  1. In a small bowl, combine warm milk and yeast. Let sit for 5 minutes.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine flour, sugar, matcha powder, and salt.
  3. Add melted butter and vanilla extract to the dry ingredients. Mix well.
  4. Pour yeast mixture into flour mixture and knead until dough is smooth.
  5. Cover the dough and let it rise in a warm place for about 1 hour.
  6. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  7. Roll out the dough on a floured surface and spread sliced strawberries over it.
  8. Roll the dough tightly and slice into rolls.
  9. Place rolls in a greased baking dish and let them rise for another 30 minutes.
  10. Bake in preheated oven for 25-30 minutes or until golden brown.

Notes

  • For a sweeter taste, add more sugar to the filling.
  • Try using different fruits such as blueberries or raspberries.
